The Descendant is the exact opposite point of the Ascendant and whatever sign it is in, usually denotes the type of person we are attracted to, as we usually need that to balance us out.

For example, a person with a Scorpio will be most attracted to a person that has the traits of a Taurus - someone that is patient, steadfast, reliable and good looking, who will always be there for them. It does not necessarily have to be a Taurus that is the right partner, as long as they have those traits.
